SIM Registration Franchise Locations: How to Find a Genuine Outlet

sim registration franchise: four checks at the counter

Own-CNIC checks only · Reviewed 29 September 2026 · Operator-published outlet lists

A SIM registration franchise is an outlet your operator has authorised to register SIMs, and the operator’s own outlet list is the reliable way to find one. A sign or operator branding on a shop proves nothing by itself, so start from the list published by the network whose SIM you hold or want.

What Actually Makes a Shop a SIM Registration Franchise

PTA lists three kinds of outlet as authorised to sell SIMs, customer service centres, franchisees and registered retailers, each holding a biometric (MBVS) device and an authorisation card or letter from the operator.

The terms on display and the proof of authorisation: what PTA tells a buyer to look for

PTA tells a buyer to read the SIM purchase terms displayed at the sale point. In 2007 PTA directed franchisees to display at their sale points proof of their registration or authorisation from the operator. The record made at that counter is what ties a SIM to your name and CNIC, and sim owner details in Pakistan: the official checks covers how that record is read later.

Retailer shop, franchise centre or experience centre: size is not the test

Jazz sells new SIMs through retailer shops, franchise centres and experience centres, so the test is the authorisation behind the counter, not the size of the store.

Kiosks and door-to-door sellers: what PTA’s orders say

PTA’s SOP on SIM sale and activation through biometric verification, sent to operators on 2 April 2019 and quoted in PTA’s 2020 orders, allows door-to-door and kiosk activity only after PTA’s approval, case by case. In 2020 PTA charged CMPak (Zong) and PTML (Ufone) with running that activity without its approval, after a survey in December 2019, so a SIM offered from a kiosk or at your door without PTA’s approval of that activity is outside the authorised channel.

An uninvited offer like that is not the same as a number you booked on the operator’s own website or app and asked it to deliver, a service Ufone offers (see booking a Ufone number). What changed for sale points in 2026 is tracked in the 2026 PTA SIM rules.

SIM Franchise Near Me: Finding Your Own Operator’s Genuine Outlet

Your own network’s outlet list is where to find the nearest genuine SIM shop, franchise or customer service centre: Jazz, Zong, Telenor, Ufone and SCO each publish one on their own websites, Onic publishes a list of SIM pickup points (see the Onic note below), and the table links every list next to this site’s guide for that network.

Jazz franchise near me: the locator, the 7089 SMS and the Experience Centers

Jazz’s franchise locator lets you enter a location or city in its search box, and a blank SMS to 7089 brings back the address of the nearest franchise or retailer, free according to Jazz’s help page and within 15 minutes according to its FAQ. The same locator page lists Jazz Experience Centers in eight cities: Islamabad, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rahim Yar Khan.

Zong franchise near me: eight service centres and a 475-entry franchise table

Zong’s service-centres page lists eight customer service centres, in Faisalabad, Karachi (Gulshan-e-Iqbal), Lahore (Mall Road), Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sukkur and Quetta, and below them a franchise table by region that ran to 475 entries on 29 September 2026: North 141, South 133, Central A 95 and Central B 106.

Telenor franchise: the franchise-addresses page

Telenor’s franchise-addresses page, last updated by Telenor on 27 January 2026, lists some 300 franchises town by town, each with an address and most with a map link, while the older store-locator address on the same site no longer loads a list. For the change of ownership, see Telenor’s merger into PTML.

Ufone franchise: the Our Offices page, and the 333 call Ufone asks for first

Ufone’s Our Offices page lists four kinds of office location by city, PTCL Ufone service centres (about 170 on 29 September 2026), franchises (320), U Shops and self-service booths, and asks visitors to call 333 from a Ufone number to confirm the office’s status and schedule before going.

SCOM: 42 customer service centres and 13 franchises, in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

sco.gov.pk lists 42 customer service centres, 26 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 16 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 13 franchisees with an address and contact numbers, all in those two regions.

Onic franchise near me: the pickup-point list and the 11 September 2026 order

Onic’s site lists 520 SIM pickup points (29 September 2026), but PTA’s order of 11 September 2026 told PTML to stop issuing new Onic SIMs and eSIMs and activating new connections, so the list is no longer a route to a new Onic SIM. What the Onic order means for existing customers is covered in the Onic guide.

The dial codes each network publishes read the number of the SIM in your hand, not an outlet address; the SIM number check code guide lists them.

SIM Franchise Timing: When the Counters Are Open

Zong, Ufone and Jazz print counter hours on their own sites: Zong for its eight customer service centres, Ufone for the offices in its list and Jazz for its Islamabad Experience Center. Zong’s franchise table, Jazz’s franchise listings, Telenor’s franchise list, SCO’s centre and franchise lists and Onic’s pickup-point list print none, so verify the hours with the operator before travelling to one of those.

Printed counter hours by outlet type, as each operator lists them (29 September 2026).

Whatever the hours on a list, no outlet may sell a SIM between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM (the midnight-to-6am SIM sale ban).

Appointments: Jazz Experience Centers take bookings

Jazz publishes an appointment link for its Experience Centers, while the outlet lists of Zong, Telenor, Ufone and SCO carry no booking option.

Genuine Franchise or Just a Shop That Sells SIMs? The Real Tells

Whether an outlet is genuine is settled by your operator’s own list and the authorisation card or letter at the counter; two offers are reasons to walk out of any outlet, listed or not: an offer to skip the fingerprint check, and an offer to tell you who owns someone else’s number.

Four checks at a SIM counter: the operator's authorisation card or letter, the SIM purchase terms on display, a thumb on the BVS scanner at the counter, and the charge compared with the operator's published price.
The first three checks follow PTA’s own description of an authorised sale point.

PTA puts new SIMs, changes of ownership and disowning through the fingerprint check, and how biometric verification works at the counter sets out what should happen there, including when a scan is not possible.

The owner details of someone else’s mobile number are another person’s identity information: no website or app can show who owns a number, and section 16 of PECA 2016 makes obtaining or passing on that information without authorisation an offence, so no outlet has a legal way to give you access to it.

Price is a separate check from whether the outlet is genuine: ask what you will pay before the transaction starts and compare it with the operator’s own published price; Jazz and Zong publish theirs, set out on this site in Jazz SIM price at the counter and Zong SIM prices.

Where to report a suspect outlet is set out in who handles what: PTA, NCCIA and your operator.

What to Bring to the Franchise

Go in person with your original CNIC; if you hold a NICOP, a passport or another document, who can register a SIM, and on which document sets out what applies.

If the card has expired, read PTA’s April 2026 notice on SIMs registered to expired CNICs before you go.
