Corrections welcome · Reviewed 28 August 2026
This page is for corrections and questions about the guide. SimChecker is a reader’s guide to checking the SIMs on your own CNIC — we cannot look up any number or any person, because no lawful service in Pakistan can. For an unknown SIM, fraud or harassment, the official helplines below act; we do not.
Report an error in the guide
Quote the exact sentence you doubt and, if you can, the page where the correct fact lives. We re-open the first-party source (PTA, cnic.sims.pk, the statute) and either correct the sentence, weaken its label, or re-date it unchanged. The source table in sim owner details in Pakistan: the official checks (the homepage) shows the date of the latest check.
Email: [email protected]. Every message is read; corrections are checked against the first-party source before anything on the page changes.
What we cannot do
We cannot tell you who owns a number, find a caller’s name or address, unblock a SIM, or speed up any operator process. Requests like these are closed by Section 16 of PECA 2016 or belong to the operator, and messages asking for them will not get a lookup — only a pointer to the official route.
The official channels that actually act
| Problem | Where to go |
|---|---|
| A SIM on your CNIC that is not yours | That operator’s franchise, with your original CNIC, for biometric block and disowning |
| Complaint about an operator | PTA Complaint Portal at complaint.pta.gov.pk, the PTA CMS app, or helpline 0800-55055 |
| Fraud, blackmail or harassment | NCCIA cybercrime helpline 1799, or complaint.nccia.gov.pk |
| CNIC issues (lost, expired, renewal) | NADRA helpline 1777 or the Pak-ID app |
SimChecker answers questions about the guide; the SIMs themselves are fixed at the franchise, PTA and NCCIA.
